Last week when I had a hard time finding information relating to Detroit, transportation and health I instead learned about all of these cool organizations in Detroit. Above are the links to the four very interconnected organization I learned about.

One of the coolest things that these organizations are doing in a collaborative project is allowing residents/citizens take part in their initiatives. A collaborative effort between Motor City Mapping (a branch of loveland), Data Driven Detroit and Time To End Blight has residents themselves collecting data. If you follow this link you'll find a video explaining the project and the challenge of blight in Detroit https://www.motorcitymapping.org/about.

I wonder if Tucson could also benefit from having some sort of program where residents are sent out to survey their own neighborhoods or streets. Do we already having something like this? Would we benefit from a Data Driven Tucson?
